U.S. Department Of Education Issues Guidance On Complying With The IDEA And Other Civil Rights Laws During The COVID-19 Pandemic

On Monday, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs published a Question and Answer document concerning the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act’s requirements and providing services to students with disabilities in the current COVID-19 environment. On the same day, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights also published a Question and Answer document concerning technical assistance for elementary and secondary (K-12) schools with meeting their obligations under the federal civil rights laws.
