The Illinois Department of Public Health started the new year by issuing an updated COVID-19 Interim Exclusion Guidance Decision Tree for schools and updated Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQ”) for Schools. The updates to these documents accommodate information released last month by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”), including guidance that would permit an adult who is under quarantine as a close contact to return to the school setting as soon as 7 days from starting a quarantine.
